Premiere Elements 2026: Ultra Key turning my clip into black and white

Hi,

i had to upgrade my photoshop elements 2022 to 2026 because of the macos update to tahoe.

Premiere Elements 2022 is still working and i now also have the 2026 version next to it.

I 've used over the years the different version of green screen keying but I can't get the new 2026 Ultra Key video effect properly working. It turns my clip into black and white.

I have used the eyedropper to select the background color (green) and played around with the options for Matte generation and color correction. No luck.|

Any thoughs?

Does Videomerge work? You may find it gives even better results.

Hi steve,

thanks for your suggestion. I was already looking for the videomerge since that was the way in the 2022 version but couldn't find under right click -> clip. But when i tried with dropping a second video track it just popped up.

And since i use a very clean green background, it worked out great. Thanks!

Still puzzeled why the ultra key doesn't work as expected, same for color pass (it exists on Mac :-))
