Premiere elements 4 unlock key

I had to reformat my hard drive and then reinstalled prem Elements 4.

it does not now automatically contact adobe for a unlock key and without this key i cannot cut a file to dvd.

can anyone help

Version 4 came out over a decade ago. You won't find on-line support for it, and its components will not be able to unlock, meaning you'll likely have no support for a number of video formats.

I highly recommend you pick up, at the very least, version 11 of the program. You should be able to find a used copy pretty cheap. And it's light years ahead of where version 4 was.
