Premiere elements crashing and glitchign

Question

I recently upgraded to Premiere Elements 2022 from 18, I have been having trouble with the saved videos glitching at the transition points. I commented on another thread, and was told to update my graphics card, which I have done, by going to intel rather than using the windows standard updates.

It will save one or two videos without a problem and then another will be glitchy. I now can't even open a video without the programme freezing and crashing.

Does anyone please have any suggestions - I really hope I haven't wasted £70 upgrading to software I cannot use. 😞

CPU brand and model and clock speed
Amount of computer memory (RAM)
Video adapter brand and model and driver version and amount of video ram
Number and size and type of hard drives
What kind of video are you editing?
-hint 4k video on an underpowered computer will not play well
