Dear all

I have a modified 800 Mb mp4 file . I just cut 20 seconds from it and when i export it its now 2 GB !!! size at the same rezolution and lowest bit rate of 5 Mbs .

This is insane !

Any way to keep at least the same file size ?

Where are you setting the output bitrate?  Screen shots might help!

I set it now to 1.5 Mbs in custom export settigns , to get almost same size as original. Quality is sh_it but there is nothing i can do unless i use default low 1080p 30 fps 5mbs which makes file x6 times bigger

Compression as in codec is also a big factor.

Filesize = bitrate x duration.

Bitrate is twice the original file.

I have added some pictures to the 2 sizes. Orig file is 400 Mb , exported on (where i just cut 20 seconds is 900 Mb).

I chose for export 2 Mbs bit rate

Data rate and total bitrate and frame rate are not the same
