Premiere Elements Won't Load after Photoshop Install

Hello,

 

I purchased Premiere/Photoshop Elements from Amazon a few weeks ago. I predominately use Premiere. However, I would like to use Photoshop for photos and both times I have intsalled Photoshop, Premiere will no longer load. I'm using a Macbook Air. I'm going through another uninstall and won't install Photoshop again until I figure out a resolution. Thanks!

As Steve said, that must be a Mac thing (which operating system and what Elements version?)

 

I have Windows 11 and Photoshop/Premiere Elements 2021 (DVD version from Amazon) and zero problems

Premiere/Photoshop Elements 2022 on Macbook Air M1 16gb RAM on macOS Monterray 12.4.

 

I was able to open both immediately after installing Photoshop. Then I used Photoshop for several hours and Premiere wouldn't open - only Photoshop would. I uninstalled all Adbobe products and reinstalled Premiere. Premiere is now working fine again (but I don't have Photoshop obviously)

If it were me Scott, I would try the online chat session with Adobe techs that I posted above.  Premiere Elements and Photoshop Elements work well.  There is a hidden glitch somewhere that is beyond the scope of a user to user forum.

Why Amazon?  Did you get serial numbers?  If so, you can download the programs from Adobe and use the serial numbers.  With other programs, there has been a Apple caused "permissions" issue in a recent iOS update.  Have you given you computer permission to open Adobe Premiere Elements?

I bought the code for digital redemption from Adobe. I have the serials on my Adobe account which I have used to do the installs - 3 for Premiere and 2 for Photoshop.

Assuming you're using current versions of these programs, why not contact Adobe Customer Care via chat?

Mac issues can be more difficult to work with than PC, but the folks at Adobe can often make more progress than we can on a user to user forum.
