PSE 2025. Very slow to copy from SD card to computer and exporting from PSE 2025 to computer. It takes 3 hours to copy 1 hour of video and 2 hours to export to computer.

Also let us know what type of camcorder your video is coming from and what the video's resolution and frame rate is.

PSE is Photoshop is that what you are referring to? Or is it Premiere Elements.

Use windows explorer to copy files from SD card to computer with a card reader.

Then import these files into Elements.

Here is some more detail. This is for our church. We use three JVC GY-HM250-OU cameras feeding into a Sony MCX-500 switcher. The switcher records the video onto a SanDisk Extreme Pro 128GB 170MB/S SD card.

Computer is a 3 month old Dell Inspiron 7730 16gb ram, 1TB SDD Windows 11 Home V.24H2

No telling which codecs that switcher is using.

 

Meantime, if you look under the Edit menu, what is listed as your Sequence Settings? Do you see a yellow or an orange line above your video clips on your timeline?
