Publishing in HD - changing the timing

I have a video with several different songs and the timing of when the pictures/videos play with each song is imperative.  When I save in non-HD the quality is very lousy.  However, when I am saving in HD (and I've tried many different forms of HD) it is changing the timing of the video and things are in the right spot anymore.  I cannot find anything to help me fix this.  I need the video for a retirement tomorrow morning!  HELP!!!!

    You provided little about version, computer, source video, project settings, etc. 

    I (and others) might be able to help if you can provide some details.  Screenshots help too?
