Puzzled: Premiere Elements 15 Freezes & creates s9no. Windows Shell Common File

Hello, Adobe Forum folks --

Here's a puzzler for you!  I was editing a large MP4 file recently in Adobe Premiere Elements 15.  Everything went well until the export was 98% done, and then the project froze.  I canceled the project and deleted the prel file.  Then I re-did the edit, which saved OK in another location... but:

I now have a Windows Shell Common file  s9no. on my desktop which is huge.  I can't delete it, can't rename it, can't refresh the Desktop. When I try to delete, I see this error:

                              Could not find this item.  This is no longer located in C:\Users\******\Desktop     Verify the item's location and try again.

Size is  31.6 GB !        The file may be gone, but the file marker is still there.   

Any suggestions?
