Recording loudness

I have a recorder and have added recordings to my Adobe Elements 18 presentation.  All of the recordings are fine except one of them.  I've tried to correct his by rerecording the message several times - it is still not loud enough.

Is there a way to select this recording and make it louder?

    There are a number of ways. (I'm assuming you're talking about Premiere Elements 2018, as there is no version 18.)

    The simplest is to right-click on the clip on the timeline and select the option to Normalize the audio.
