Reinstall onto pc

I have a premiere pro 2019 perpetual license. I reloaded my pc which I have used with the software before ( hard drive crashed) now, adobe will not load because of 2026 requirements even tho I am loading 2019 software on a pc that had been running the software before the crash.

Is there a way to reinstall and bypass the 2026 requirments?

Thanks

    Hey CVIJR,

Sorry to hear about the hard drive crash — that's a rough situation.

David is correct on the license point: Premiere Pro 2019 is not a perpetual license. Adobe's last perpetual (buy-once) release was Creative Suite 6 (CS6) back in 2012. Everything from Creative Cloud onward — including the 2019 version — requires an active subscription to run. The software itself may have worked during a previous subscription period, but it's not something you own outright.

To get back up and running, here are your options:

    1. Check if you still have an active subscription Go to https://adobe.ly/4bDB8bZ and sign in with the Adobe ID you used previously. If a subscription is still active, you can reinstall through the Creative Cloud desktop app.

    2. If your subscription lapsed You'll need to reactivate a plan. Adobe offers monthly and annual subscriptions — if you only need Premiere, a single-app plan is less expensive than the full Creative Cloud suite.

    3. Contact Adobe Support If you're uncertain about what license you purchased, Adobe Support can look up your purchase history and clarify what you have: https://adobe.ly/4gT3Au5

Unfortunately there's no way to bypass the subscription requirement — it's built into how the software activates, not the system requirements themselves.

    I hope that helps.

    Thanks,
    Kevin

    Hello Kevin,

I may be confused on the perpetual license. It was Premiere Elements 2019. I still have the license code, and I just need to re install it on the same pc it was on. Is there no way to get my software back without paying monthly for software I use once or twice a year?

    Thanks for your help.

You should be able to download it from your account if you registered it:

It will let me try, but it must meet 2026 system requirements,  which it does not.  That is the hangup.

I thoughtr the last perpetual licence was CS6.  2019 is part of the Adobe Creative Cloud, i.e rental only, so you need a subscription to run it.  You also need the installers as Adobe does not supply them any more.
