Rendering not working on 2021 Premier elements

Thanks for taking my question.

 

This is the 3rd verion of the software: 2015, 2020, 2021.

 

Render does on the 2021 on my 2020 Imac. Unsure why?

Rendering is not working for me in 2021 as well --- whenever I click on it, it just plays the project I am working on. The entire project is also very jumpy and I am having a hard time doing any editing and lining up of videos.  Any ideas?  2020 worked just fine.  I am on a PC.

When you say "render' do you mean rendering a timeline preview or rendering as in Export & Share?

 

And what happens when you do what?
