Running Elements 2026.1.  I have a client that creates MOGRT files in AE & until recently I was able to open them in Elements but now I can't.  I get error: "This motion graphics template is not compatible with this version of Premiere Elements."

​​​​​​Could you please check a few things so we can narrow this down?

• What OS and version are you using? (e.g., Windows 11 23H2 / macOS 14.5)

• Do older MOGRTs from this client still work in your current Premiere Elements?

• When did the “not compatible” error start appearing for new ones?

• What exact After Effects version are you using now? (Help → About After Effects)

• Did you recently upgrade AE or change anything in the export process (effects, plugins, etc.)?
   

Quick test

1. Open the original .aep in After Effects

2. Go to Window → Essential Graphics

3. Export Motion Graphics Template to a local folder

4. Send you the newly exported .mogrt to test

Please try installing that new file and let us know if the same error appears.
