Saved work cannot be recalled

I have composed a movie on Photoshop Elements 7 2021

The page froze and the autosave feature worked to save the file. 

The saved file is accessable but opens as Photoshop Elements with the frozen page not allowing me to access the project.  All 5 autosave files are similarly protected.

How do I get to the project behind the frozen page?
