Saving copy on Ext HD

Having read the thread

... I am wondering if I have 'downloaded' the full copy of the 2023 software purchased? I have these saved on an extHD ... do I click and complete the full downloads or are these links sufficient.

(I just wrote this post on my 'Download and save copy' but maybe its best to create a new thread? Not sure on procedures here?)
