Scissors tool missing from Playhead in 2025

Why was the scissors option removed from the playhead in 2025? I find it makes editing more  cumbersome.  It was so much easier to be able to cut a clip from the playhead without having to specifically enable the scissors tool from the quick tools panel or keyboard. I remember when this feature was added a few versions back and I said "This is a great idea."  And now someone thinks it's an "upgrade" to get rid of it? It is one of several changes from 2024 that make editing less efficient by adding extra steps not needed before. Such as now when you right click on a clip the option to delete either the video or audio portions of a clip are gone and now you must first unlike the auto and video and then clear the porton you don't want.  I don't understand how removing features improves things.

2025 does not have razor attatched to the playhead.

You will have to select the razer from the tools.

In addition to Ann's answer you can position the Playhead and press Ctrl+K and it will cut the clip.   If you prefer, you can customize the keyboard settings to another key.

Yes, but that is more cumbersome than using the tool bar because it takes two hands two hands to Ctrl+K.  I like to do as many editing tasks as possible with the mouse because it is the most efficient way to navigate the workspace.  Unfortunately, 2025 is repleat with changes that degrade mouse functionality.  Here's another one:

In 2024, when right clicking on a clip, you were presented with a "clip" option which gave you quick access to several attributes.

The submenu is gone in 2025, and while some of the options have been moved to the main menu, others are just gone forcing slower keyboard access.

One more. Notice that the rotate right and rotate left option has been removed from the right-click menu and for some reason stuck as an icon in the playback window above the toolbar, and is now only rotate right.  So, in 2024 if I wanted to rotate a clip left I could do it with fewer clicks and without my cursor ever leaving the clip.

Individually, these might seem to be minor inconveniences, (and I've got more) but when you are editing a large project they add up, and the end result is that 2025 is a much more annoying less efficient editing platform than 2024.
