Search Bar for media to import does not work

GREETINGS! Can ANYONE help...? In my 'add mediatab, I want to search for a file but the SEARCH TAB won't allow me to type thename of a specific file I'm looking for! Does ANYONE have a clue or knows how to fix this annoying issue??

I second the request for a screenshot. Are you adding media from the "Files and Folders" or "Elements Organizer"? Search works normally for me for both.
