Haven't done a slideshow for 2 years and having a problem.     I have downloaded photos and dragged onto project bar but they are not appearing in monitor panel.    Anybody any suggestions please?    Ann

I have attached a screenshot

Thanks for the description and the screenshot.  The interface has changed so much, that I can't remember how it worked!  My remaining guess is that it has something to do with the project settings when you open the project.  But, again, I'm guessing.

If it were me. and I wanted to do a lot of slideshows, I would update the software.  The annual holiday sales should be comming up soon.  If I wanted only an infrequent slide show, I would rely on what is built into the operating system.  Both Windows an Apple systems have basic video editors that will create basic slide shows.

Are you doing a slide show in Organizer or Premiere Elements?  By "project bar" do you mean the "timeline"?  What file type (format) are the photos?  Can you provide a screen shot to better help understand your issue?

Note that if it really is version 8, it is so old that it may be your operating system has been upgraded so many times since it was current that it may not be functional anymore!

I'm doing a slideshow in Premiere Elements (adding music later).    It is Version 10, not 8 (my mistake), but still pretty old.

I can open previous slideshows and they play and show in the preview monitor.    On starting a new one I download jpgs from Organizer and then drag and drop on to timeline, they don't appear in preview monitor.   If I click play the bar moves along but nothing is in view on preview monitor.    Tried several times and just the same, but can open any older slideshows.

Can't get a screenshot to appear here.      It may be I will just have to buy a new version unless you have any other suggestions.      Just seems odd that the old slideshows are working fine.

"I can open previous slideshows and they play and show in the preview monitor. "

Open previous slideshow projects? (files that end in .prel)    Or open the video file (.MP4) that was output from Premiere Elements as a slide show?

Can you start a new project and then use "Add Media" to directly import a JPEG from your computer?  This would skip using Organizer.  I'm suspecting there may be an Organizer issue more than a Premiere Elements issue.
