Maybe I should step out of this conversation, Stan. I'm still not able to focus on the real issue here. Maybe if we isolate things so we can figure out if the problem lies with your video or your audio.

    1) Where did your source video come from? Did it come from a camcorder or another source?

    2) If you add the video to your project but no other audio, does your output video play well? (BTW, make sure you play any video in VLC Media Player. NOT Windows Media Player, which has a number of limitations.)

    3) If you keep your MP3 audio in your project and do not add your video, does your output video play well?

I still think the issue is with your source video -- and this simple troubleshooting should tell us if that is the case.

Open your original video (the one you wanted to replace the audio from) in the free download MediaInfo. In MediaInfo, set the View to Text and then copy and paste the report it generates to this forum so we can see what that MP4 is made of.

Where did this initial video come from and how did you get it? If you ripped it from YouTube or some other site, it may have copy protection or it may use a variable frame rate.

Your initial video was a bit confusing. You seemed to imply that the problem was with both your MP3s and MP4. If the only issue is how this MP4 is performing, then our focus should be first on that MP4. Particularly since you got the video free from a site that sells videos (via subscription).

you do not understand, let me try again ! I did not purchase any viodeo from anyone. It sure  seems like alot of confusion here!~ Go back and read all my Questions & answers.  {{{{   I made an MP4 Video for Youtube }}}}. I wanted to Edit the Audio on this Video so I put the video in Elements 15 to edit. It was very Garbled and slow. someone said try filmora which works Great for Video Editing except they require the watermark unless you subscribe for $39 a year, then thew watermark is removed. the Video plays just fine on my youtube channel now.

And you're saying you can't open one of your MP3s in Audacity?

Let me try to clear up the situation, i Uploaded an MP4 video to Elements Premiere15 to edit or Eliminate the audio and replace the audio with some MP3'S . It worked fine in Filmora with no problems at all and I put it up on my Youtube Channel, only it has the watermark of filmora cause i  wasnt going to purchase The Filmora Subscription.I already had purchased Elements 15 for this very reason and like i said , The MP4 Video by itself in Elements is very Garbled and sounds a little slow also. there is nothing wrong with the MP4 by itself or in Filmora. maybe some files got corrupted in Elements 15 and I need to reload it, can this be done? thank you , Stan in Ct.

MP4 is not a typical format for an audio file. MP3 is much more common. I guess that might be an issue.

How did you get an audio file in MP4 format?

The MP4 is a video I made for Youtube and the MP3's were what I wanted to add to the Video and Eliminate the Original Audio of Video,

like I posted earlier to ann, I loaded the MP4 into audacity and it said the file must be converted to wav before audacityt can read it

    What didn't?

What were the results of your using the Audio Mixer, as I recommended?

there was no overload at all, i lowered and raised the sound level with the same3 audio results, also the souind does sound a little to slow, the MP4 sounds normal on desktop, but in elements its distorted, very garbled and slightly slower

Download Audacity® and convert to wave before bringing it into Elements.

in audacity, it says it must be converted to a wav before it can read it

Open the Audio Mixer from the Tools menu. Is your audio peaking above zero?

If so, it is overmodulating, which is why it sounds garbled.
