I have created an MP4 file using ScreenRec 1.0.87 to capture TV video (2 min 51 sec).

After loading it into Premiere Elements 14 the video and audio is out of sync.

Correct answer Ann Bens

Your file is variable framerate: hence the out of sync issue.

convert to constant framerate with Handbrake before bringing it into Elements.

Media windows player plays the mp4 while Adobe 2018 plays the video and the audio out of zinc with each other

I cannot confirm your uploaded file is out of sync!

So I think your system has a problem to play mp4.

Maybe K-lite codec pack can solve that problem.

If you really have a sync problem:

I guess it's possible to repair it when you split audio and video and then move it in sync?

I once had a problem with a file imported from other source than Adobe: audio and video had different speeds causing out of sync towards end of the movie.

In that case you can change speed of video or audio just what you need.

It's most likely your screen capture program is creating a file that is not compatible with the program.

Open one of your ScreenRec videos in the free download MediaInfo. In MediaInfo, set View to Text and then copy this text and paste it to the forum. Once we know the specs of the video you are trying to edit we'll better be able to advise you.
