Suddenly not working

I got Premiere Elements 15 a week ago and all worked fine.  This morning I worked on a project for awhile, left to do other things, came back – and suddenly it's not working!  Specifically, every project runs only in slow motion (even though Time Stretch is set to 100%) and there's no audio.

One of the other things I did was install some recommended updates on my Windows 10 Thinkpad, including a new audio driver.  But in addition to the Premiere audio problem I didn't get sound anywhere else, so I unstalled the new driver and my audio came back everywhere except Premiere.  And the sound thing doesn't explain the slow motion.

I've restarted a few times and nothing's changed.  Help?

There may be another update that affected it.  Try System Restore to see if that fixes it.  If so, manually update one  update at a time to narrow down the problem update.
