Tag text shows in other apps

PRE 12 and Windows 10. If I have a project open in PRE and then switch to another app, such as Windows Explorer or MS word, yellow tag text panels from PRE pop up in the other app. From the text, they appear to be the tags that are generated by the Work Area Bar when it reports the start, stop, and duration for the WAB. The notes are a nuisance, so I would appreciate some ideas for stopping their appearance. Thanks.
