The 2024 organizer crashes and states that it has detected and incompatable display driver an d it needs to be updated. Photoshop and elements has no problem. When photos are added it randomly hangs on them before posting the problem.

My system is up tp date

Ryzen 7950X3D

MSI MPG X670E carbon wifi

64GB DDR5 6000

Nvidia RTX 4090

Crucial T700 NVME PCI-E  5.0 2 TB

I have 65,000 photos that are in another Catalog and I want to import it but I can't.

Do not count on Windows to be fully up to date when it comes to device drivers
Go to the vendor site to be sure you have an updated driver for your graphic adapter

nVidia Driver Downloads https://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us
-for all Adobe programs use the STUDIO driver, not the GAMING driver
-To achieve the highest level of reliability, Studio Drivers undergo extensive
-testing against multi-app creator workflows and multiple revisions of the top
-creative applications from Adobe to Autodesk and beyond

Hi all,

I have exactly the same problem and did not find a solution for it. Any new hints what to do to have this working again? This is definetly a bug in the programm and not to blame any others.

The following hint did not work for me either: https://helpx.adobe.com/de/photoshop/kb/troubleshoot-gpu-graphics-card.html#gpu-compatibility-check

Thanks for any hint.

I have tried both drivers and it is the same.

The 2021 version works fine until I converted it in 2024 and now I can go back.

I completely removed all Adobe software.

I deleted all adobe folders in documents and programs.

I used regedit to remove all adobe references.

I used CCleaner to clean up the registry.

I edited the BIOS to use the IGPU from the AMD 7950X3D. I am not using the Nvidia external GPU.

I installed only Photoshop Elements 2024. Verified that "Use Graphic Process for improved performance" was not checked.

Copied the first folder that would cause the program to hang from the NAS to a local SSD.

Launched Adobe Organizer, Made a new catalog. tried to import a 1 GB folder with 404 photos in it and it stll did the same thing.

It doesn't finish getting the photos. It seems to stop on the same photo every time. If you wait it will then states it has detected an incompatable display driver.

What would cause it to do this if it didn't like a photo?

Photoshop Elements 2024 & Premiere Elements 2024

It's the 2024 Premiere Elements Organizer. It can't work with a new catalog on a new PC. They are blaming Nvidia

Please post which Adobe application do you use. As you wrote about the Organizer I think you work with Photoshop Elements. Is this correct?
