Question

Thinking about upgrading

Hey family...I currently have Premier and Photoshop Elements 2018...I hate to ask such an obvious question but is there a huge improvement over elements 2023, I mean is it worth buying the upgrade? I'm not an expert user at all but I have been using it to make youtube videos for 5 years now (fairly simple edits...I'm not very good with the laso/cutout features but I wish I was). I'm also wondering if there are emoji glyphs available for Elements. Thanks

ok, so with John's comments, I went back through and made a small amount of progress...I did figure out how to add emoji's to Photoshop BUT...they are just an outline (of any color I choose). To do this, I had to open PS, create a text box then hit the shortcut Win+; which opens the windows Segoe emoji keyboard. In that keyboard they apear as your typical colored emoji...however when I go to insert the selected emoji, it's just a simple single-color outline.

How the heck can I add a dang LOL full-detailed color emoji to PS? It shouldnt be this difficult. I mean its easy as pie on a smart phone or really any forum platform but Adobe of all companies cant make this effortless?

The way I would put a graphic in a video is to treat it like a photo.

Capture the emoji or graphic with something like the Snipping Tool in Windows.  Use Photoshop or maybe the new Express program to give it a transparent background.  Then put it on a video track above your primary track.  Then move, enlarge and position it where you want it.

Click What's New and Features at the top Easy video editing software | Adobe Premiere Elements 2023

If you make a DVD that feature has been removed

Thanks or the link, I did watch it but I'm more of an action/reaction guy so I was hoping to hear from others that can share what difference they noticed while actually using the software. I doubt there are many improvements that a novice user such as myself would recognize. I'm most interested in emoji's...2018 doesnt appear to offer the "glyphs" option at all.

But again, thanks for the input!

Find a (free?) font that you like and install it into Windows... as far as I know, any font in Windows may be used in all programs... Windows 11 has WAY MORE fonts than I use, so I have never tried to use any special characters in PrEl version 2021
