Timeline locked

Somehow I have locked myself out of the ability to click and drag into the timeline. For media/video clips the Program the monitor screen lights-up, but does not allow me to drop to the right on the timeline and transitions does not work at all. Get a Circle with a line through, it is very small. Started after working and had a power outage.

It is crazy, when I did a remote access with Adobe customer service Elements started working when I move the program to a different screen. It is working on one screen, but not the laptop screen or the third screen? I have no idea why. Going to try undocking and rebooting.

I wonder if this is related to a current bug in Premiere Pro, where using dual monitors requires that both monitors must be the same resolution?

Premiere Elements 25. On a Windows 11 PC. I cannot perform must function on the timeline: moving, adding transitions, effects or even adding new clips.  I wonder if I should reinstall. If I do, can I preserve my on-going projects?  Maybe I should go back to 24 I liked it better.

>had a power outage

You MAY have a corrupted project file... I have never had to do this, but have you tried loading a previous autosave version of your project file?

Started a new project and opened an old project. Made no difference.
