Question

Track Matte moves

Hope this makes sense....

I am trying to a have a title appear while scrolling up from the bottom but have it appear inside of the circle.  I have the circle black and white graphic on video track and I have used the track matte effect on the title track.  When I apply the motion to the title it also moves the track matte which is not what I want.  I want the Track matte to stay put and the text to scroll into the matte.  I am using a slightly older version of Premiere Elements but does anyone have any idea??  I can't figure it out for the life of me.

Thanks!!!

What you are seeing is correct.

Make your text and export.

Import this file, put it on the timeline and add the track matte.

Alternative make a color matte, draw a mask cirle from opacity and set it to invert.

Drop this over the text.

Thanks Ann.  But the same thing happens when I use a track matte on a graphic.  For some reason the matte moves along with the graphic.  I am using an older Premiere Elements so I don't have the ability to draw a mask circle like you can in Premiere Pro...  I think??

Yes, so do the same with the graphics as with the text.

Make the movement > export > import.

Mask are an Elements feature too.

Which version are you using? Did not say.

Alternative: draw a circle with the Title Tool then add the Invert effect (set to Alpha) to it.
