Transfer License to new harddrive

I have purchased a new PC, and have installed my old hard drive from my previous PC as drive 'E'.  I mistakenly assumed that I would be able to execute my adobe elements 15 app from the 'E' drive.   But I was wrong.  I presume that I need to transfer the app from the 'E' drive to the 'C' drive.  (I no longer have the old PC).

My questions & concerns:

1) How can I remove the app from 'E' and install to 'C'.  The app will not run on 'E', so i cannot use any of the Adobe remove/reinstall options.

2) I originally purhased the app from Dell/Adobe, and do not have any disks (I downloaded the app for installation).

Any insight if Dell would be able to help if I cannot locate it?

I don't mean to be snarky, but you would have to ask Dell.

To let you know, I was able to find the compressed files for the software install.  I successfully installed the software and it seems to be okay.  I got the serial number from the Adobe site (per your direction).  Now, I'll have to see the best way to "reconnect" the pictures that I have saved to my external drive.  I will be most concerned with recapturing all of the links for location, activity, and person(s).

If you have any comments on this, please let me know.

Thanks again for your help (and John's also).

By the way, I'll be looking at Adobe "help" for help, but if you have info on setting up multiple albums for smaller subsets of pics, let me know (I have over 20,000 pics that I reference, many are old ones that I scanned).

I presume that I can get the serial number from there...

You will only be able to retreive the first 20 of 24 digits that way.

This software may work to get the full serial number:

When you find your download, ALWAYS copy it to at least one external device
-a usb flash drive or hard drive, or write to a CD or DVD
-plus a text file containing your serial number

You will need to have the installation file and your serial number in order to install it on the new computer.

That is your only option.

Did you save the downloaded installation file?

Thanks for the feedback - I'll look and see if I still have it - it will be on PC #3 that I had prior to my previous PC #2 (that I no longer have).  I saved PC #3 (it still contains the original installation of the app).  I presume that I can get the serial number from there...

I'll take a look and let you know what I find...thanks again.
