Transition over entire screen, not each clip in grid

Hello,

 

In Premiere Elements 18, I have a grid with several clips playing simultaneously. Then a new scene with a different grid and clips playing. Can I apply a transition effect to the entire screen instead of to each clip?

Not on that timeline.

But if you output your grid sequence as an MP4 and then import that video into a new project, you can do so with the entire collage there.
