I am running Premiere Elements 12.1 on an iMac running Mojave 10.14.6 with 25 GB of available storage.

I have a project that is 1 avi file of 15.5 GB, with a duration of 1 hour and 5 minutes.  It plays fine in elements.

I am receiveing the following at the 98% mark of a "Burn in Progress" attempt:

unknown error: 2130852354

Anyone have any thoughts?   Thanks for any sugestions.

Rick

With the ongoing march to higher resolutions, TVs with USB ports, YouTube, Vimeo and social media, it is pretty clear that Adobe has been moving away from DVDs and Blu-Rays.   It used to be that electronics stores had a wide selection of players.  On my last trip to a Best Buy, there were two on a lower shelf.

If you have a workflow that needs standard definition DVD production and have tools that work for that, stick with them!

Sort of on topic reply

I am the 'video guy' for my family... as well as inflicting  sharing my vacation video with family, I am the one who has the software to create a DVD for anyone in the family who wants to send me a USB flash drive with copies of their video (always from a cell phone, so some 'massaging' needed to get the video to work properly) so I can send back a DVD

And, when I was in Best Buy recently to buy a new monitor, I walked past a display rack with movie DVD discs... and a few BluRay... so people do still buy discs instead of streaming... but there used to be several display racks, so the days of disc delivery are slowly dwindling

I have version 2021.1 on Windows 10 so this may not apply

Are you able to set your output to an ISO file and complete making the file?

Not sure about the ISO option.  However, as it turns out, a DVD was generated despite the error, and it seemed to play OK.  I also have a Windows 10 PC where I run Pinnacle Studio, so if I continue to have issues with Elements on my Mac that do keep me from generating DVDs I'll just switch over to my PC.  Thanks for your input.

"any thoughts?"  Yes.  You are running really old software on a really new operating system.  There will be unpredictable faults.

Well, other DVDs have burned OK.  And I would have expected the software to at least have been able to display something like "unknown error in such and such a routine" to narrow down the issue.

As it turns out, the disc that was ejected played OK so it was maybe just a bogus error.
