Update is not executed.

When I go to update, it says that an update is available.
I can do no more than click on ok.
The current version is 24.0, but it should be 24.2.
Even the support could not initiate the update remotely.
I wonder why it doesn't work?

Correct answer Bill Sprague

I have reinstalled it.
Nothing to see of an update

The problem seems that Adobe forgot to add the ".2" to the version number.   My update shows the same as yours.

In addition to Ann and Steve's methods, you can verify the "Build" numbers.   They are:  20240321.Git.main.669b102

You can verify it at:  https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-elements/release-note/update.html

Do you have a category called Presets in your Video Effects? If so, you have the update.

I went into all kinds of hoops to get it installed.

Close program and open again.

Go into to the Help dropdown and click update.

See if that will do the trick.

It worked on my computer.  After I did the update I looked and the version number was still 24.0   But, the improvements were there and the new "build number" matched.   So, the only bug might be that the version number is displaying wrong.
