Using Key Frames to fade in/out audio tracks on Premiere Elements 2020

Hi,

I wonder if someone can help please?

I like to use Key Frames to fade in/out audio tracks on my Timeline and I'm using multiple input sources in my project. When I drag down the yellow line on the audio tracks in the Timeline from camcorder input it correctly reduces the volume, however, when I do the same on audio tracks from both a GoPro and an iPhone I can't fade it down to silent. Is there any reason for this and is there any way I can fix it please?

Hi Ann,

Does this work....?

I had a quick look. Test it later.

but it looks like a stereo clip in a 5.1 project does not agree.

Does the audio stay the same level or is faintly audible?

If you right-click on the (gopro) clip and use fade audio in and out, does that work.

Hi Ann,

Thanks for your input.

On the Camcorder footage, it winds the volume down fully, but on the GoPro & iPhone footage, it winds the volume down only by around say 40-50%, so I can't ever get it to fully silence.

Yes, I've tried right clicking on the clips and Fading In/Out the audio, as you suggested, but it has exactly the same effect that I'm experiencing, in only partially winding it down.

Try and normalize Audio Gain on a gopro/phone clip.
