Video clip flashes on after fade out

Hi all,

New question from this newbie.  I have two clips, one is background the other is titles over background.  The two fade in and out simultaneously, but at the end of the fade they flash back on for a moment.  I haven't found any info in the discussion groups referring to this issue.  Any suggestions?
