Video disappears after rendering?

My last two projects have disappeared completely after the export and save process completes. They cannot be found within the designated folder or anywhere when performing a manual search. Last time this happened a restart resolved the issue, but now it happened again. I really don't want to render my videos twice because it already takes long enough. Any ideas?

By any chance using external disks?

Version?  Disc space?  Output settings?  Source video specs?  What you are decribing sounds like a hardware failure.

Are you saying your project files are disappearing or are you saying that your video files are outputting but they aren't in the folder you output them to? Do you look for them by clicking the Open Folder button after the video is output?

 

Are you saving your videos to your C drive or to another drive? How much free space is on that drive?
