Video Editor does not open

I purchased Adobe Premiere Elements yesterday, and today I worked on it 7 hrs to make 2 videos, successfully, but now the Video Editor won't open when I click or double click on it.
The Organizer and Photo Editor both still open, though.
I must clarify and kindly ask to be very specific in the answers, since I'm new to digital media, as a whole.
If it is of any help, I use a laptop running with Windows10

There may be something easy and simple. If it were me, I would seek an online "chat" session where Adobe techs can remotely troubleshoot your system. Go to https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html?step=PRE

In the lower right corner is an icon that will start a chat.

Also, if you're on Windows, right-click on the Task Bar and open the Task Manager. In the Task Manager, see if Premiere Elements is listed in the background programs. If it is, end it, close the Task Manager and launch the program.
