video freezes in timeline

working on a long video, clips toward end won't advance when viewed in timeline ... why and how do I fix it? is there a length limit?

Adding to Peru Bob's answer, Premiere Elements needs lots of disk space for temporary files. How much available disc space do you have?

I think the limit is 24 hours.
