When I add two of the same motion titles in my project and try to make them different it keeps copying the changes over.

Steps to recreate:

1) Add in "Typography07" motion title to my project in two separate places

2) Change the text of the first title to "First dog 123"

3) Change the text of the second title to "second dog 333"

4) Both first and second title now have text set to "second dog 333"

I have uploaded video showing this

It sounds like you copied a title rather than duplicating it. As I show you in my books, copying a title makes a clone of it. When you change one copy, it changes all of them.

But if you right-click on the title in your Project Assets and select Duplicate, you create a duplicate of the title. You can customize a duplicate without affecting other duplicates of the title.

Yes, I had the same problem yesterday. But I found it happened because I took the title by mouse out of the media collection in the left corner.  When I took it from the right side of the screen out of the library the problem was solved. So that creates a duplicate with another txt independent from the earlier imported same title.
