Question

Adobe Rush refuses to render no matter what I try!

Anyone from Adobe, please help! I use Adobe Rush on my iPad Pro 2022. It has been buggy from day 1. I regularly have problems with my projects not exporting. My latest one refuses also to export. Usually I manage to find a workaround by doing some random arbitrary thing from turning my device off and on, to resetting all my settings, to uninstalling and reinstalling the app. I try duplicating the project, I try different settings for exporting, I try removing certain graphics and transitions. This is beyond intolerable and Adobe needs to get their act together. Can someone please tell me how to get my video out so I can upload it and not have to do the whole thing again (which takes several hours) with different software that I'm not used to?

There is no one error code. Sometimes it just says unable to render, at various points in the process. Other times it just throws me out of the app. Once it reached 99% and told me it couldn't save to my camera roll. It has also told me I don't have enough space, which is also wrong - I have ample storage space, both on the device and in the cloud.

Also I have tried exporting on my laptop, but it doesn't work there either.

You've provided great detail, and this will help with troubleshooting. The one thing I noticed you didn't mention is the source video content you're using to create your videos. What is the quality level of the videos you're recording from your iPad or iPhone? Are they being pulled into Rush as .mp4, .mov, or other? (An additional note to check is what is the length of clips - video over an hour has always been a bit iffy on my iPad Pro 2020.)

There are definitely some formats that are problematic for certain devices, and you may be able to alleviate a great deal of the frustration by exporting a clip or two from your camera roll to Handbrake (or similiar encoding conversion tool), and then importing the new versions into Rush. Also, try exporting the demo project that came with Rush to see if it also has issues with rendering; if not, your source video is most likely the root of the problem, and Handbrake will get you back up and running.

Hope this helps! Make sure to press "✔ Correct Answer" on this post if this answers your question. Happy Creating!Anissa • @anissat
