App crashes trying to record second voiceover

At a loss here; whether with bluetooth mic, wired mic, or built in mic- the mobile app crashes while attempting to create a second voiceover. i've reset my phone, the app, and tried multiple devices for recording. anyone else having this issue- what did you do to fix it?
