Question

App repeatedly crashing every 5 minutes. Sometimes have to restart my PC to be able to reopen

Hi there,

 

I'm finding Première Rush borderline unuseable - it crashes every 5 minutes while editing a project, and sometimes my PC requires a reboot just to reopen the app.

 

It's on a Dell Inspiron 7400, device specs are:

Processor 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-1165G7 @ 2.80GHz 1.69 GHz
Installed RAM 16.0 GB (15.7 GB usable)
System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

 

Windows 11, though it was the same on 10


Frustration is reaching boiling point...

So sorry for the poor experience, let's see how we can help.

 

Have you tried resetting your preferences while launching the app? With Rush closed, hold down CTRL+ALT+SHIFT on your keyboard. Then launch the app and keep holding the keys down until a window appears asking if you want to reset preferences and clear the cache. Say yes! Let us know if the app is still crashing.

 

Could you tell us what type of clips you're editing? What do you use to record them?

Hi Caroline,

Thanks for taking the time to reply. I'll try this solution today to see if it helps.

I made a 3:30 minute video from GoPro and DSLR footage (.mp4 and .mov respectively).

Aside from crashing repeatedly during editing, I had to dumb down all the output settings AND remove a section where I had images playing over the top of one another (the best bit of the video) just to be able to render the video without crash or error.

 

The videos are for paying clients, so unless I can solve these problems I will have to find another movie-making app that's up to the task. I'd really like Rush to work properly for me as the other Adobe Creative Cloud apps I use suit my needs and having them all on one subscription is ideal.
