Audio drop in RUSH

Hi,

Can anyone advice me regarding the drop in the audio after each slice part of the audio track? Do you guys have this issue?  I am quite unfamilar about audio production. I use a SHURE mic and it works well, but when i slice the audio in a single track i notice there is a huge drop (muffled) voice at the begining of the slice. This is troubleshome as the audio when listened as a single track after edit it ends up having multiple audio drops at the start of each slice. I'm not sure if i can place the sliced tracks ontop of each other along the 3 audio tracks. Would  that help? But then wouldn't it be better to have less of this issue even if we had them sliced up in a single track. There should be a need to move each slice of the track up and down. Thanks in advance.
