Basic Title with White Background turning grey

Hello,

I am trying to have a simple white background with black text before my image graphic. For some reason the more layers I add, this white turns grey? How can I fix this?

You can see in screenshot, this is the Basic Ttitle on Background graphic, but when selected as white, it turns grey. It seems like the more layers I have, the greyer it gets?
