Corrupted File when starting Rush

Every time, without fail, when I try to run Rush, one, if not all files are missing. It's either all red like in the picture attached, or a dull red with an exclamation mark. My files are never deleted from my laptop, so I don't understand why this happens.

I know how to fix it, but it's very tedious and I just want to understand if there's any way to stop this from happening!
