Edit screen black/blank when opening existing project

Hello Community, can you help me out? I created a 12 min video and when I go back to edit it, the edit screen is black/blank. The menu options at the top of the screen are all greyed out. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling/ restarting without success. I have windows 11; i7; 2.8 G; 64-big op sys.
