Question

Everything is importing to the front of the timeline only

In the project I'm currently working on I have a file in the audio field & a couple transitions in the graphics field. When I try to add photos or video to the image field they are only importing to the front of the timeline. When I try to move a photo into the proper spot on the timeline it "snaps" back to the front. Anything I try to add automatically goes to the front & stays there. Anyone know how to fix this?

Hi, did you fix this? Just installed Rush on a new iMac and loving it, but having the same problem. Clips if moved, just snap back to the righ unless (like you said) I drag them to a timeline above, then they move freely left or right.

Just wondered how you got on?

Cheers

EDIT: I mean they snap back to the left, sorry! I have a about 10 images which I have edited to cut to music, so quite important that they go in the right place. Marquee-selected them all, tried to drag them to the right a wee bit, but nope. Snap back to the left.

I've not found the proper fix but I also haven't had time to do the screen movie as requested by @Kevin-Monahan . Moving the photos/videos to a timeline above seems to work just fine for my purposes. I too was editing to line up with music & found no issues once all was moved to the "alternate" timeline.

That's weird, Daniel. My experience goes like this: A clip snaps into place when I drag it between two other clips. It remains there and pushes the other clips to the right. Can you test with a new project and a simple timeline? What happens?

Thanks,
Kevin

@Kevin-Monahan I have the snap function on & it works great for lining one clip up with another and whatnot. One solution to the problem I'm having is to move the photo or video to another field (like the transitions field). Once there it behaves the way I'd like & I can move it accordingly. I did the test you suggested & ran into the same problem. I did the test project on a separate computer with the same program thinking that may be the issue but I had the same result.

Hmm. That sounds odd. Is this with the mobile app or the desktop one?

Thanks,
