Feature Requests
Whenever I edit videos on my phone, I usually use CapCut or InShot. But it occured to me that since I already pay for Adobe Premiere, I might as well download the mobile version of the app and edit my social media posts from there...however, after being on this app, I think I'll just stick with what I was doing before.
At first, I was loving all of the Premiere Rush features, and my editing process was going super smooth. I didn't notice any major problems until I got done with the actual video editing, and moved on to adding text to my project.
I quickly found that there was no "add text" option on this app. I saw the button for graphics that allows you to choose some templates for titles, subtitles, and quotes. At first, I just chose a random design and decided to just change the format to what I wanted it to be. I would go in to change the font, size, or color of the words and it would not let me. No matter how many times I selected the desired text and then clicked on the font style I wanted, the highlighted text would not change. It stayed the same font regardless of what I was intructing it to do.
On one occasion, I was able to change the font and size. Everything was looking good, but when I went to play my video back, I noticed that there was a transition on the text that I didn't add, and didn't want to be there. I assume it was there because of the original template I chose...but I really wish there was an option to delete the effect altogether.
These issues with the text options are very frustrating to me. Something that should be so simple is turning into a headache. Until this (lack of) feature is resolved, I plan on just going back to using CapCut and InShot for my mobile video editing. Both of the apps make it very easy to add text in whatever style you want.
