It seems like Adobe has done little to P. Rush lately. The incompatibility with images and vid files (iPhone 16 etc) seems odd for an app that's not free. And a lot of apps seem to have worked it out. So has Adobe given up on Rush moving forward, will it be only backwards compatible from now on?

Thanks for the feedback. You were correct that Premiere Rush was no longer being actively developed for newer devices such as the iPhone 16.
Premiere Rush has now reached end of life and won't receive additional compatibility updates. For future iPhone projects, I'd recommend transitioning to Premiere Mobile, which is built for current mobile devices and workflows.
