Ghost files with zero data
Every time I open Adobe Premiere Rush I get numerous extra files which have the same name of my original files but have zero data. There are so many that deleting one by one would be a very tedious task.

Sorry for the confusion. Those zero-data “ghost” files can be related to the old Creative Cloud synchronization system used by Premiere Rush.
Creative Cloud Sync for Rush was discontinued, and Rush may still display references to cloud files or projects that are no longer available. Unfortunately, those zero-data entries do not contain recoverable project or media data.
If the original files and your working Rush projects are safely stored locally, I would rely on those rather than the old cloud references.
