How do I Stop Creative Cloud from Removing Items without Permission?

So I woke up this morning, turned on my computer, and was met with this message:

"[Insert File Name Here].mp4 has been removed."

This is the first time I have ever gotten this message.

Now good news is I still have the original file in another folder. Even better, this file was part of a video I recently finished and have rendered fully to my computer as an MP4.

But still, this is a massive problem when you know that when you remove a file from Creative Cloud, that file (I assume) is also removed from your video in Premier Rush (which is what I use to make my YouTube videos). For CC to just randomly decide to remove files without my permission is unacceptable, especially when I'm paying money to use Premier Rush.

What can I do to stop Creative Cloud from messing around with my files?

Any and all help is always apprecited!

P.S.: I included a screenshot of the actual Notification.

I have an update, and it's not a particularily promising one: I got a message (attached file) that said Creative Cloud needed to "solve a problem", but was "missing or damaged" and needed to be Repaired.

Well I thought "Ok no probem. This must be what is causing the Premier Rush file issue". So I repaired Creative Cloud. I've also recently backed up all my stuff.

Unfortunately, the original problem is still persisitng AND I just had to repair Creative Cloud again.

I have no clue what is going on. Like I said before I'll be contacting Adobe about all this, because this is getting ridiculous.

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.

That may very well be it, or at least something close to it. The only thing is, I have an Individual pay plan, not a Business one. I read through and could not find anything regarding Individuals. (I could be missing something, though. Let me know if I am.) Plus, I'm not a "new user"; I've had my plan a few years now.

Hello @MalGV87,

I read your note. Sorry for the weird behavior. I was wondering how the removal of sync would manifest itself. It looks like this could be the culprit. Since February 1, Individuals have been affected by the removal of sync, so please backup any video files inside your Creative Cloud folder to be safe. I apologize for the frustration on this.

Thanks,
Kevin

1. don't post irrelevant links.

2. it's prudent to trust no one with important files. ie, always have a backup.

3. why was your video removed?

If you weren't so worried about a link that includes my business email for further contact, you would know that my video itself was not removed, only a short clip used to create it. And I do have an external backup of all my files. The issue here is it's very inconvenient to continually have to monitor my Trash folder for files that I did not authorize for deletion.

what's being moved to a trash folder?
