I am having a hard time with audio

I am editing for a friend and I really wanna do a good job for them! This is a new program for me (premiere rush or pr)

They send it to me thru drop box.and ive download it and ive put it into the program the audio is kicks in and out and going choppy

Did you download the assets to your local hard drive or did you add them to your own Dropbox account? I ask because working over a file sharing service could be causing the audio issue.
