importing from iPhoto to premiere rush

Question

Ive just started using Premiere Rush for video editing and i cannot get it to import my videos/photos from iphoto on the mac. This function works on the app/ipad but not the imac? I have lightroom installed on the mac and that imports fine from iphotos but i cannot get Rush to do the same ? is there a setting im missing?
