Question

Importing photos to Premiere Rush

Hello

I have been successfully using Premiere Rush for years without any issues on my iPhone, and now, since last year, it will not import many photos, whether individually or in multiples! There do not seem to be any issues with these jpegs on other apps.

I have made some amazing videos, so I am frustrated that this is no longer possible.

What should I do? Please help.

Moderator note: Your title and text were changed slightly. The word "import" was substituted for the word you used, "upload." Importing and uploading are different, so that change should clarify your issue better with others looking to help.

Super rough workaround for iPhone users: take a screen shot of the photo in your gallery (https://support.apple.com/guide/iphone/take-a-screenshot-iphc872c0115/ios). The screenshot you create is a PNG version which imports successfully (as of 6/22/24).

I've loved using Premiere Rush over the years but this is a bug that unfortunately makes the app unusable to me. I hope they can fix it soon.

This is a deal-breaker. Being able to use a jpeg is pretty basic stuff - don't put the extra work and effort on me when I am paying for a product to make my life easier.

Hi @Pukka100,

I read your note. Others have had this issue. The workaround is to try a different format when shooting photos. You can also try converting any HEIC-formatted photo to another format. I'll let you know if I can find a better workaround for you. Sorry for the hassle.

Thanks,
Kevin
